Living out Psalms 133:1

Here is a link to the video from a media outlet in Israel that covered the Run for the Wall.  If you watch you will see the Director of Hope for Israel, Paul Klassen, giving the Barucha at the Western Wall to group of about 100 Israeli’s and the Run for the Wall participants.  While watching the video remember Psalms 133:1 “Behol.d, how good and how pleasant it is For brothers to dwell together in unity!”…The L-rd has truly blessed this trip

The Ride continues….

Today like each day of this trip was very moving.  We went to the site where 7 young girls we brutally gunned down by Jordanian border guards.  This happened right after the Oslow peace accords were just signed 15 years ago.  So it is still very fresh in the minds of Israeli’s.

On another note the media has been writing and covering Run For The Wall and people have come out to see us as a result.  Tomorrow at noon Israeli time 30 Israeli’s will be riding with us from Latrun  to Jerusalem.  Our first stop will be an overlook of Jerusalem Old City where I have been asked to give the welcoming speech.  From there we will ride to the Western Wall.  Please pray as this is the pinnacle of the mission.

Thus far it has been very well received.

Again we apologize for the intermittent posting.  There is no wifi where we are right now.  Please keep checking back, as soon as we have wifi we will be posting many of the pictures we have been taking and doing more trip updates.

New York and the fun that is JFK Airport

Our Time in New York
I didn’t know what to expect upon arriving in New York at JFK airport.  Yet as I was trying to find my way to Terminal 4, I spotted a person wearing the now ever present, Run for the Wall   Motorcycle Vest.    As we got to Terminal 4, there just next to the El Al check in counter were about 50 bikers, sporting that vest, standing around 3000 pound of medical supplies and their personal luggage.  What a sight.
Many people had never met each other as many had come from all over the US. some were from Arizona, California, from Illinios, South & North Carolina, yet most were from Texas and Florida.  Some were nervos of flying such a long trek as they had never even been as far north as this place called New York.
El Al’s Security were just scratching their heads not knowing what to do with us.  They would question us, only to listen to the same crazy story about going to Bless Israel by honoring Israeli veterans.   The Medical supplies too, were a bit much for them to handle until Israel’s Tourism High Consul arrived for a photo op with us.    Then suddenly things went smoothly.    Thee Consul staff also took pictures for the media and sent our press releases to many Israeli and other westerns news outlets.
As we were standing in the check-in  line, a Jewish man from Boston replied that he also rode a hog, term describing a Harley.  Yet, he went on to explain that his hog was a Kosher hog.  because he had simply cut off the tip of the  tailpipe.
So off we go, for the 11 hour non-stop flight to Tel Aviv.  pray that all gets there in good condition.

Run For The Wall -Israel

Run for the Wall LogoThis developing story is simply a testimony of how can give a simple seed of an idea, then take it and turn it into something far greater than we can imagine.
HOW IT ALL BEGAN
A friend of mine was showing me his new Harley Davidson.  I asked him if would ride for a up coming Run for the Wall event.  It’s an annual event where Motorcycle clubs from all over the U.S. ride ot Washington D.C. in honor of American Veterans.  I them asked, wouldn’t it be interesting if someone would do that for Israeli veterans.
I thought if people would be willing, we could maybe rent 10 bikes in Israel for a possible 2 hour ride from Latrun to Jerusalem.   To that my friend decided to call Gary Burd, a pastor and Bike Club leader.  The rest of it is now fast becoming reality, yet much bigger than I first imagined.
So I hope you come along and enjoy with me as this story develops
